What's in a name?

You will be involved in the sales and business development process to help us fill and grow the qualified sales pipeline. This internship requires a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude and a continuous improvement mindset.  You'll get the opportunity to join Tengu after your internship.

What will be your key tasks?

  • Find new relevant prospects within target markets and reach out to them through email, social media and smart calling (cold calling 2.0).
  • Build up connections and educate your target audience on social media and other marketing channels.
  • Qualify prospects & set up meetings with the Account Executive to move them through the sales pipeline.
  • Listen carefully and ask the right questions to define if there is a fit between the company, their pain points and Tengu.
  • Make/Send outbound calls & emails daily to find & create new opportunities.
  • Conduct experiments & futher develop prospecting campaigns to improve the sales growth & processes and explore new ways.
  • Explain complex tech in an understandable way to non-tech savvies.
  • Capture all relevant lead information & sales activities in our CRM to well-inform the Account Executive.
  • Work towards sales targets (new prospects, mapping calls, qualified SQL's, set appointments, etc.) and report your results on a monthly basis to the CMO.
  • Write sales content together with the marketing team to support the Account Executive.
  • Collaborate with the AE to ensure targets are met.

What profile are we looking for?

  • You're a trainee and want to learn more about B2B SaaS start-up doing outbound prospecting, business development, inside sales or lead generation.
  • Are not afraid of or turned off by making a lot of phone calls and going to networking events after working hours.
  • Want to gain experience with demand generation tools, CRM systems and sales automation software.
  • Believe in a smarketing way of working.
  • Have perfect communication skills, both verbally and in writing in Dutch, French & English, German is a plus.
  • Are a quick self-starter, proactive, result-driven, accurate and a go-getter. Have excellent time-management & prioritizing skills. 
  • Have affinity with technology, data or cloud-based applications.
